Red Cross Local Group

In 2013, I co-founded and led a local Red Cross youth group for the municipalities Vestby and Ås. At the end of the first year the group had over 30 volunteers, and was one of the most active groups in the country, organising events such as:

• Bi-weekly activities for children at the local asylum centre

• Bi-weekly English lessons for adult refugees

• Weekly second hand shop where all profits went to Red Cross’ work in Syria

• Major campaign against loneliness among youth

• Fundraiser to raise money for the victims of the hurricane in the Philippines
